“Everything you can imagine is real.” (Pablo Picasso) As a kid I dreamed of being a super hero with super powers like Superman. I could overcome any obstacle or test with these powers. I could protect those I love and make life just a tad bit easier. Reaching or attaining my dreams will allow me to do all that I imagined as a kid.
“Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.” (Marthe Troly-Curtin) Figure out what makes you happy and pursue that endeavor like there is no tomorrow. I have taken myself far too seriously and I need a break from self-absorption. I will be able to do things to help my children, my family and my friends, just not at this very moment. I need to live in the moment!
“Dreams are made for the now and goals are for the future.” (Devin Oten) Talking to a close of friend of mine recently about Love, Life and Happiness made me think about what’s most important in life; Pursuing love, living life to the fullest or chasing my portion of happiness? The answer is they all coincide. As you live life to the fullest, love finds you and happiness is somewhere in the mix while all this other stuff is going on around you.
“A reputation once broken may possibly be repaired, but the world will always keep their eyes on the spot where the crack was.” (Joseph Hall)
Whatever you set your hand and mind to do, do it with character and integrity. The pressures of life sometimes cause us to step outside of who we are. Remember, in those times people around us are paying the closest attention. “You are who you are even in the dark.”
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” (Mae West)
I know I should follow my own advice when I say enjoy life. Life is more than working and climbing the corporate ladder. Stop to smell the roses and maybe buy a rose or two along the way. My late grandmother would always tell me, “Rock, the world is much bigger than New Orleans.” Work hard, follow your dreams, pursue your passion and most of all enjoy the journey.
“Each man should frame life so that at some future hour fact and his dreaming meet.” (Victor Hugo)
I have been searching for an opportunity to become a millionaire. In doing so, I have learned a number of lessons that should be passed along as I move forward on this journey. Life is framed by our words and actions must follow. “Faith without works is dead.” Be on a constant look out for resources and people power. Find those who can mentor and organizations or services that are made available to hungry individuals such as yourself. Lastly, never be swayed by public opinion when it comes to your DREAM!
