Pay Yourself
The next key step to building your dream is to pay yourself.
You will never build wealth or a nest egg paying everyone but you.
I pay myself 10% to 15% per year, depending on what kind of year
I have had. It could go up to as much as 25% in very good years.
This is a life-changing process, my friend. With this formula in
place, you will tap into the hundred-fold return of the Lord. When
I was a pastor, I taught that the hundred-fold return of the Lord
means, “You will suffer attack but never suffer lack.”
I understood this principle from reading Genesis 26:12-14.
Isaac paid God first, and he received a hundred-fold return from
the Lord. It did not stop there, as God caused him to prosper beyond
the hundred-fold return.
“12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the
same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. 13
The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until
he became very prosperous; 14 for he had possessions
of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of
servants. So the Philistines envied him.”
